Just who is Mark Winder?

As a Sales and Marketing Professional, and an Entrepreneur myself for over 18 years, I have personally implemented the tools in all my online courses - with great success.

I've always had a passion for entrepreneurship and sales. And - in my experience - the two are always linked hand-in-hand.

I got my first taste of being a business owner when, at the age of 18, I started my own business to help pay my way through university. In the summer between high school and my first university semester, I not only earned enough to pay my way, I was also running a business so vibrant, that my parents decided to step in and run it for me while I attended my classes.

During the course of my university education, I learned a TON about what it takes to succeed in as an entrepreneur. I learned a lot of the pitfalls, and I also had some GREAT successes - like being written up in Entrepreneur magazine, and selling franchises of my computer-cleaning business into Canada, Britain and the U.S.

Being an impetuous youth, I wanted to spread my wings and further test the world of commerce. And in doing so, I got the opportunity to learn and further hone my sales skills in a variety of industries: from high technology, to high-end mountain bikes; with stops in the human resource and financial sectors along the way.

The one thing I noticed from all my experiences, was that there was a common thread that runs through all industries: sales. Sales is the very lifeblood of all commerce, and I made it my mission to become an expert at it.

But I realized that there were two very different approaches to sales - the flash-in-the-pan approach that manipulates a customer into a one-time sale, and the notion of creating a win-win partnership with your customer over the long term.

For me, I realized my passion lined up with the win-win partnership approach where I created a relationship with my customers, and helped them solve their problems.

And over the years, I realized that my passion to help my customers often morphed into me providing them with sales advice. Helping my customers achieve their business goals - above and beyond the products and services I was selling - was something that really resonated with me. And when I realized that, I decided to become the Sales Made Simple coach and help out even more people, full time!
